1. Define the footprint around Thornapple and Barry County
Bosseo’s public product page says a firm can choose statewide coverage or limit the same approach to counties it selects. Thornapple township is recorded in Barry County, Michigan. That relationship matters because a Barry County footprint is a different decision from a Michigan-wide footprint: it changes which cities and legal-service combinations are considered for coverage. The Census population estimate for Thornapple is not a forecast of legal searches and should not be used to justify a page count by itself. Start with the places where your firm actually accepts matters, not every place that appears on a map.
Recommended approach
Review whether Thornapple is inside your current service area, whether Barry County is the correct county boundary for your intended coverage, and whether nearby counties should be included or excluded. Ask Bosseo to show the proposed geographic set before approving it. If you serve only selected counties, a county-limited scope may be more aligned with your intake capacity than statewide coverage; if you genuinely serve throughout Michigan, compare both options rather than assuming one is superior.
