1. Start with the geographic coverage your firm actually serves
Texas law firms often serve a defined territory rather than an entire state. Your review plan should therefore distinguish the firm’s office location, service areas, county coverage, metropolitan coverage, and the places named in your Google Business Profile. A population record for Texas charter township in Michigan identifies it as a municipal-town in Kalamazoo County, with a 2020–2024 ACS five-year estimate of 18,226 people and a margin of error of 26. That fact describes the place; it does not establish legal demand, competition, search volume, or likely review volume. It also should not be presented as evidence about Texas. If Michigan is part of your operating footprint, treat Michigan locations separately from Texas locations and from county-level or metro-level service areas.
Recommended approach
Map where the firm is physically eligible to request reviews and where it is authorized to describe its service area. Keep location-specific profiles, review requests, and reporting aligned with the actual office and client relationship rather than using one statewide message.
