1. Make the team-first handoff explicit
Bosseo describes a team-first routing model: calls ring your people first, and the AI answers when nobody picks up within 20 seconds. That makes the first implementation question operational. Which calls should remain with your Southfield staff, and when should the backup answer? Your firm may want different rules for lunch coverage, court appearances, after-hours inquiries or a full queue. Do not assume that every caller needs the same path. Define who owns the call at each point and what the caller is told when the AI takes over.
Recommended approach
Map your existing number, normal answering sequence, unanswered-call rule and internal owner. During the consultation, ask how the published 20-second handoff would apply to your current phone arrangement and whether the proposed routing preserves your existing number.
