1. Start with the geography your firm actually serves
The Census identifies Otsego township as a municipal-town in Allegan County, Michigan, with a 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate of 5,962 and a margin of error of 30. That is location and eligibility context—not evidence of search demand, competition, case volume, language preference, leads or revenue. Legal News should therefore be evaluated against the firm’s service territory, not against the population number alone. A firm may serve Otsego township, other parts of Allegan County, a broader Michigan market, or a narrower set of communities. Those are different editorial decisions.
Recommended approach
Before booking, list the counties, municipalities, practice areas and matter types the firm accepts. Ask Bosseo to explain how story relevance would be limited to that scope. Do not authorize broad “Michigan” coverage if the firm cannot responsibly address the resulting inquiries.
