1. Define the geography before reviewing Mason results
Mason city and Ingham County are not interchangeable labels. A report that combines Mason, the county, other Michigan communities or a broader metropolitan area may answer a different business question from the one your firm intended to ask. Bosseo’s public description says its dashboard can show keyword rankings, case-type data and city data. Before relying on a geographic view, identify whether a row represents Mason city, a countywide service area or another location. The Census population estimate establishes Mason’s municipal scale, but it cannot establish how many people search for a lawyer or how many cases exist.
Recommended approach
Ask for a plain-language geography definition beside every local metric. Decide which locations belong in the initial review, which should remain separate, and whether a location label refers to a search target, a caller’s location or a matter’s location. Keep Mason city and Ingham County distinct unless your firm deliberately combines them for a stated reason.
