1. Start with the geography your firm actually serves
Marion township is recorded in Livingston County, Michigan. That relationship is important when you define a review program, but it does not mean every client is located in Marion or that every review should mention Marion. A law firm may serve people from several communities, accept matters across a wider county area or focus on a practice area whose clients come from beyond the township. The right question is not whether Marion’s population is large enough to promise results. The right question is where your eligible clients are located and which Google Business Profile or local search context they use when evaluating your firm.
Recommended approach
Bring a matter-by-matter service-area view to the consultation. Separate Marion township from Livingston County and from any broader Michigan coverage. Decide whether review requests should use neutral firm language, a practice-area reference or a carefully approved location reference. Do not publish geographic claims that your client records cannot support.
