1. Define the geography before judging a source
A Lowell-serving firm may receive inquiries from Lowell charter township, elsewhere in Kent County, or another area the firm serves. The Census record identifies Lowell charter township as a municipal-town in Kent County, but it does not establish the firm’s market boundary or show where prospective clients originate. That distinction matters when a landing page, referral, advertisement or organic visit is evaluated. A report that treats every inquiry as “Lowell” could blur municipal, county and broader service-area results.
Recommended approach
Decide which geographic labels the firm needs before reviewing attribution. Keep Lowell charter township separate from Kent County and from any wider Michigan or metropolitan service area. Then ask whether each lead is in the firm’s intended service area, whether the inquiry fits the practice, and whether geography should affect ownership or follow-up. Bosseo’s consultation can be used to review which source and outcome fields would make that distinction usable.
