Start with the geography your firm actually serves
The U.S. Census Bureau records Jackson as a municipality in Jackson County, Michigan, with a 2020–2024 ACS 5-year population estimate of 31,058 and a margin of error of 44. That figure describes the city, not the entire county, a metropolitan area or legal demand. It cannot establish search volume, competition, calls, cases or revenue. For an ROI Dashboard, the important decision is therefore not to treat “Jackson” as a complete market definition. Decide whether your reporting should distinguish Jackson city from Jackson County and from any other Michigan locations your firm intentionally serves. If the dashboard includes city data, confirm how city names, service areas and case types are represented before comparing one period with another.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to review the geographic labels used for tracked keywords, lead sources and matter records. Keep Jackson city and Jackson County separate where that distinction affects budgeting, intake decisions or partner reporting.
