1. Start with the right Ionia footprint
A location page for Ionia should distinguish Ionia city from Ionia County and from broader Michigan coverage. The Census record identifies Ionia city as a municipality and records its county relationship as Ionia County. Bosseo’s public product text says a firm can choose statewide coverage or limit the footprint to counties it selects. That makes the first decision geographic, not numerical: does the firm want a page for Ionia city as part of a county plan, a wider Michigan plan, or a narrower set of places it actually serves? Population is eligibility evidence only. It should not be presented as proof that residents are searching for a lawyer or that a page will produce an inquiry.
Recommended approach
Bring a service-area map to the consultation. Mark Ionia city, Ionia County, and any other Michigan locations the firm is prepared to serve. Ask Bosseo to explain how those boundaries would affect the proposed service-city page set and how the firm would prevent a page from implying an office or service that does not exist.
