1. Start with the right Howell geography
A review profile can be visible to people beyond Howell township. Your firm may serve Livingston County, other Michigan communities, or a narrower area. Those are different geographic questions. The Census record identifies Howell township and its relationship to Livingston County; it does not establish where your clients live or where prospective clients search. Reputation work should therefore distinguish the firm’s actual service area from the municipality used in a page title or profile description. A review from a client in another Michigan community may still reflect a legitimate experience, but it should not be presented as evidence of Howell-specific demand.
Recommended approach
Document the locations your firm intentionally serves, the locations it does not serve, and the geographic wording used on its Google Business Profile and website. Review whether client requests, responses and reporting preserve that distinction. Ask Bosseo how geographic coverage would be evaluated before changing profile language or outreach.
