1. Start with the Holly service area, not a generic questionnaire
The Census record identifies Holly township as a municipal-town in Oakland County. That relationship matters when you define the geographic questions in an intake flow. “Holly” may be the visitor’s location, the place where an incident occurred, the location of a property or simply the community where the person found your firm. Those answers can lead to different follow-up decisions. A visitor may also be outside Holly but still within your firm’s intended service area. The population estimate is useful for identifying the municipality being discussed, but it cannot tell you how many people will complete a survey or need legal help.
Recommended approach
Before reviewing wording, map the locations that matter to your firm: the client’s residence, the matter location and any geographic limits on representation. Decide whether a location answer should create a routing question, an escalation for staff review or no automatic conclusion. Keep Holly and Oakland County distinct in the intake language so the visitor is not asked to treat a municipal boundary as a legal eligibility rule.
