1. Start with Flint’s actual geographic boundary
The U.S. Census Bureau records Flint city as a municipality in Genesee County. Its 2020–2024 ACS 5-year population estimate is 80,175, with a margin of error of 61. That figure describes the city’s population estimate; it does not establish legal demand, search activity, competition, leads or revenue. For your dashboard review, that distinction matters. Decide whether a report should separate Flint city from other Genesee County locations, and do not treat a countywide result as a city result. Bosseo’s public product page says the dashboard can show city data and case-type trends, but your consultation should define the geographic fields and reporting boundaries that would apply to your firm.
Recommended approach
Ask for a written geographic definition for each location field: Flint city, Genesee County or another area your firm intentionally serves. Review whether location is attached to rankings, calls, leads and matters in the same way. Use the dashboard to inspect your chosen territory, not to convert a population estimate into a forecast.
