1. Put Chelsea geography into the measurement plan
A location label can mean different things: Chelsea city, Washtenaw County, a wider service area or a page intended for people outside the municipality. The Census record identifies Chelsea city and its relationship to Washtenaw County; it does not establish where your clients live or which geographic targets produce matters. That distinction matters when reviewing rankings, calls and lead attribution. A “Chelsea” view should not silently be treated as a Washtenaw County view, and neither should be treated as a Michigan-wide result.
Recommended approach
Agree on geographic definitions before relying on a location filter or report. Ask which city, county, service area or statewide target a metric describes, and require the dashboard review to preserve those distinctions. Use actual inquiry and matter records to evaluate geography; do not use Chelsea’s population estimate as a demand projection.
