1. Set the geographic boundary before reading the numbers
A firm serving Cannon township may also work across Kent County, nearby communities or Michigan more broadly. Those are different geographic scopes. Bosseo’s public description says the dashboard can show rankings, calls, leads and case-type information, including city data. Before relying on a city or location view, ask how Cannon township is represented, how broader Kent County activity is separated, and whether statewide visibility is relevant to your practice. The Census record identifies Cannon township as a municipal-town in Kent County, but it cannot tell you which geography produces clients.
Recommended approach
Bring a written geographic map to the consultation. Identify the places your firm intentionally serves, the places it does not serve, and whether a matter should be attributed to a municipality, county, state or another location. Ask to see how those distinctions would appear in the dashboard rather than treating one local population figure as a marketing forecast.
