Start with the geography your firm actually serves
The U.S. Census Bureau records Bridgeport charter township as a municipal-town in Saginaw County, Michigan, with a 2020–2024 ACS 5-year population estimate of 9,967 and a margin of error of 26. That is location and population context, not proof of search demand, competition, case volume or revenue. A dashboard should therefore distinguish Bridgeport from Saginaw County and from any broader service area your firm chooses to track. It should also keep households, individuals and municipal geography separate. A number labeled only “local leads” can invite the wrong conclusion if the underlying contacts came from elsewhere.
Recommended approach
During a review, ask which location field belongs to each record, whether city and county reporting are separate, and whether the firm wants to evaluate Bridgeport alone or a wider Saginaw County service area. Do not use the Census estimate as a forecast. Use it to make geographic definitions explicit.
