1. Set the geographic question before reading the numbers
Bridgeport CDP and Saginaw County are not interchangeable markets. A firm may serve people in Bridgeport while also handling matters from elsewhere in its service area. The Census record identifies Bridgeport as a CDP in Saginaw County; it does not establish search demand, competition, language preference, legal need or likely lead volume. Attribution therefore should not treat the Bridgeport population estimate as a forecast. It should help you identify where an actual inquiry came from and whether that inquiry fits the matters you accept.
Recommended approach
Define the geographic fields you want reviewed before evaluating performance: Bridgeport, Saginaw County, and any broader area the firm intentionally serves. Keep those areas distinct in reporting. Ask whether a lead’s location is available by the prospective client, captured during intake, or reviewed later by staff; do not treat a landing-page location as proof of residence.
