1. Set the geographic boundary before you evaluate lead quality
The Census record identifies Brandon charter township as a municipal town in Oakland County. That relationship matters because “Brandon,” “Oakland County,” Michigan and a broader metropolitan area are not interchangeable targeting choices. A firm may serve the township, accept matters elsewhere in the county, or limit work by courthouse, practice area or travel requirements. The population estimate does not establish how many people search for a lawyer or how many firms compete for those searches. Bosseo’s public Local Service Ads description says its program includes practice-area categories and service areas, set deliberately around the case types and locations a firm wants. That makes geographic definition an operating decision, not a demographic assumption.
Recommended approach
List the places you actually serve, the places you do not serve, and any boundaries that affect eligibility before changing an LSA profile. Review Brandon separately from Oakland County and from any wider area. Ask Bosseo to show how those boundaries would be represented and how an out-of-area inquiry would be identified and handled.
