1. Define the geography before spending
Boston township and Ionia County are different geographic relationships. The Census record identifies Boston township as a municipal-town and places it in Ionia County. That does not establish that every household in the township is a prospective client, or that a county-wide campaign is appropriate. For a law firm, the practical question is where it is willing and able to serve particular matters. Bosseo’s public Local Service Ads page describes category and geography targeting, including deliberate selection of practice-area categories and service areas.
Recommended approach
Review each proposed service area against licensure, court coverage, travel limits, consultation capacity and the types of matters your firm accepts. Treat Boston township, Ionia County and any broader Michigan coverage as separate decisions. Do not expand from the township to the county merely because the county relationship appears in the Census record. Ask Bosseo to show how geographic settings would be reviewed and how inquiries outside the intended area would be identified.
