Start with the Adrian-to-Lenawee service boundary
Your firm may describe its service area as Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan or another combination of locations. Those labels are not interchangeable. Adrian is recorded as a municipality, and its county relationship is Lenawee County. Before changing an intake workflow, decide which geographic information belongs in your forms, tags, routing rules and reporting. A contact who selects Adrian is not automatically the same as a contact who identifies with Lenawee County, and neither label proves that the person has a particular legal need.
Recommended approach
Review the locations your firm actually serves and decide how they should be represented in intake records. Use the consultation to determine whether geographic fields should inform ownership, qualification or reporting. Do not use Adrian’s population estimate as a proxy for inquiries, competition, leads, cases or revenue.
