1. Start with the right Westport footprint
The Census record identifies Westport as a municipal town in Bristol County. Bosseo’s public product page says a firm can choose statewide coverage or limit the footprint to selected counties. Those are materially different decisions. A Westport firm may want pages for communities it actually serves, or it may prefer a broader Massachusetts plan. The town’s population estimate should not be treated as a proxy for demand or as a reason to publish pages for every possible service. Instead, compare the firm’s intake territory, court-related service area, existing referrals, and ability to handle inquiries from each proposed location.
Recommended approach
Bring a written service-area map to the consultation. Mark Westport, Bristol County, any additional counties the firm serves, and any places it does not intend to serve. Ask Bosseo to evaluate a county-limited footprint against a statewide option without treating either as an assumed recommendation.
