1. Set the geographic question before reading the numbers
Ware is a municipal town in Hampshire County. The population estimate is a starting point for defining the location, not a forecast of who will contact your firm. For a law firm, “Ware” might mean a town-based service target, while your actual matters may come from elsewhere in Hampshire County or from another Massachusetts location. Those are different geographic questions and should not be collapsed into one total. A dashboard review should therefore identify the locations attached to rankings, calls, forms and matters. Ask whether a city or county label describes the search target, the caller, the page, the matter or the reporting filter. If the answer is unclear, a large total can create false confidence.
Recommended approach
Use the consultation to agree on geographic definitions before evaluating ROI. Review Ware separately from Hampshire County and from Massachusetts-wide activity. Treat the Census estimate as eligibility context only; require your own recorded data to establish demand or return.
