1. Start with the service area, not a population assumption
Stow’s official geographic relationship is to Middlesex County. A firm may serve Stow residents, people elsewhere in Middlesex County, or clients across a wider Massachusetts footprint. Those are different audiences. A review program should therefore distinguish the town from the county and from the firm’s broader service area. The Census estimate of 7,165 is useful for naming the municipal market, but it cannot tell you how many people need legal help, how many firms compete for attention or how many reviews a firm can earn.
Recommended approach
Before changing review requests, list the locations the firm intentionally serves and the legal matters it accepts. Decide whether Google Business Profile activity should support Stow specifically, Middlesex County generally or a broader Massachusetts audience. Keep that geographic decision separate from any assumption about demand.
