1. Set the geographic boundary before choosing stories
The Census record identifies Southborough as a municipal town in Worcester County, Massachusetts. That is a useful starting point for a coverage plan, but it is not a substitute for defining your service area. A Southborough firm may serve matters arising in the town, elsewhere in Worcester County, across Massachusetts, or in more than one geography. Those are different editorial and measurement choices. A page about a statewide law change should not be presented as though it concerns only Southborough. Conversely, a local incident should not automatically be treated as relevant to every Massachusetts practice.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to review a geographic scope that separates Southborough, Worcester County, Massachusetts, and any other areas your firm actually serves. For each proposed story, decide whether the page should explain a local connection, a county relationship, a statewide rule, or no local relationship at all. Measure those groups separately rather than using the Southborough population estimate as a proxy for demand.
