Define the geographic view before you interpret a number
Orange and Franklin County are related but not interchangeable geographic scopes. The Census record identifies Orange as a municipal town and places it in Franklin County. Your firm may also serve clients elsewhere in Massachusetts, but that service area should be specified rather than inferred from the town’s population. A dashboard review should distinguish town-level targets from county-level and statewide targets. It should also distinguish households, individuals and population measures from marketing outcomes. The Orange population estimate is useful context for deciding which geographic labels require careful separation; it is not evidence that a particular practice area has demand.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how geographic targets would be named, grouped and reviewed. Decide whether a report should separate Orange from Franklin County and from broader Massachusetts activity. Do not treat a town population figure as a forecast of calls, cases or revenue.
