1. Define Middleton as part of the footprint
Bosseo’s public product page says a firm can choose statewide coverage or limit the footprint to selected counties. Middleton is recorded in Essex County, so the practical question is not whether a Middleton page sounds plausible. It is whether Essex County is within the firm’s actual service area and whether neighboring cities in that same approved footprint matter to the firm’s intake capacity. A page should not imply that a firm serves a place merely because that place is nearby. The town’s population estimate may help identify Middleton as a defined municipality for geographic planning, but it cannot establish how many people search for a lawyer or how many cases are available.
Recommended approach
List the Massachusetts counties and municipalities the firm genuinely serves, then compare that list with a statewide option and an Essex County-only option. Decide what geographic language the firm can substantiate, what matters are accepted from Middleton, and whether expansion would create intake obligations the firm does not want.
