1. Start with the journey, not the answer a caller remembers
A prospective client’s remembered answer may be broad: “Google,” “a referral” or “your website.” Bosseo’s public Lead Attribution description says the record can show the channel, referrer, landing page, device and session history associated with the inquiry. It also says intake answers are attached to that journey. That gives you a more useful review point for Merrimac-related inquiries: which page did the person reach, what path preceded contact, and what information did the person provide? The town’s recorded relationship to Essex County helps define the geography you may choose to review, but it does not establish that any particular channel works there.
Recommended approach
Decide which geographic labels your team will use when reviewing real inquiries. Keep Merrimac, Essex County and Massachusetts distinct, and do not use population as a substitute for a measured source or outcome.
