1. Define what “Melrose” means in the dashboard
A location label can hide an important measurement choice. The Census identifies Melrose city as a municipality in Middlesex County. Those are not interchangeable geographies: a report for Melrose city is different from one for Middlesex County, Massachusetts, a metropolitan area, households or individuals. The population estimate describes the city; it does not show how many people search for a lawyer, need a particular practice area or become clients. Bosseo’s public ROI Dashboard text says its reporting can show keyword rankings, city data, leads by case type and source information. That makes geographic definitions worth settling before you evaluate the screen.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how a Melrose target would be named, filtered and separated from broader Massachusetts or Middlesex County reporting. Decide whether your management questions concern the city, a wider service area or several distinct locations. Record the chosen geography beside every location-based metric so a city figure is not mistaken for county or statewide performance.
