1. Set the geographic boundary before you judge performance
Bosseo’s public description says the dashboard can show keyword rankings, service-and-city targets, calls, leads and case-type data. A Carver firm should not treat every nearby search, caller or matter as interchangeable. Carver is recorded as a municipal town in Plymouth County. That exact relationship should appear in the firm’s measurement definitions: which searches are intended to represent Carver, which broader Massachusetts or Plymouth County areas matter to the practice, and whether a reported city refers to the search target, the caller’s location or the matter’s service area. Population is not a proxy for demand. The Carver estimate can help establish why the town belongs in a geographic review, but it cannot establish that a practice area is sought, underserved or profitable.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to demonstrate the geographic labels behind rankings, calls and leads. Agree in writing which locations are included, excluded or grouped before using the dashboard to compare practice areas or allocate budget.
