1. Set the geographic question before judging a channel
A Boston law firm may serve people who live in Boston city, people elsewhere in Suffolk County, or clients reached through a wider Massachusetts practice area. Those are different geographic relationships. A report that labels every inquiry “Boston” can hide whether a lead came from a Boston-focused page, another Massachusetts page, a referral, or a non-local source. Bosseo’s Lead Attribution page describes channel, referrer, landing page, device, session history, and outcome tracking for each lead. That gives you a basis for reviewing the geographic path rather than treating the Boston population estimate as a forecast.
Recommended approach
Decide which geographic distinctions matter to your practice before reviewing attribution. At minimum, separate Boston-focused journeys from broader Massachusetts journeys when the landing page or referral makes that distinction visible. Ask whether the record lets you evaluate the source page, case type, and eventual outcome together. Do not use the city’s population as a substitute for measured inquiry or matter data.
