1. Establish what “Severn” means in your reporting
The U.S. Census Bureau records Severn as a census-designated place in Anne Arundel County. Its 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate is 58,402, with a margin of error of 2,625. That is geographic and population context only; it does not establish legal demand, competition, rankings, leads or revenue. For an ROI review, the important decision is the geography attached to each metric. A keyword target for Severn is not automatically a target for every community in Anne Arundel County, and a county-level result should not be presented as a Severn result.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how location labels are defined for rankings, calls, leads and source attribution. Decide whether your internal report should separate Severn, Anne Arundel County and any broader Maryland service area. Record the rule before reviewing performance so a geographic change does not look like a marketing change.
