1. Set the geographic boundary before spending
Rockville city and Montgomery County are not interchangeable labels. The Census record identifies Rockville as a municipality and places it in Montgomery County. For an LSA program, that relationship should prompt a practical decision: do you want inquiries from Rockville only, from other parts of Montgomery County, or from a wider Maryland service area? The answer depends on where your firm accepts matters, not on the city’s population estimate. Bosseo’s public LSA page says its service includes category and geography targeting, with practice areas and service areas set deliberately. Ask how those settings would reflect your intake rules and how out-of-area inquiries would be identified.
Recommended approach
Write down the locations you serve, the locations you do not serve, and any distinction between where you meet clients and where you can accept a matter. Review the proposed service area before launch and measure location fit separately from total inquiry count.
