1. Set the geography before you interpret a number
The Census record identifies Hyattsville city and its relationship to Prince George's County. Those are not interchangeable reporting labels. A dashboard review should therefore ask whether a location field means a search target, a caller’s location, a service area, an office location or the location associated with a matter. Without that definition, a figure labeled “Hyattsville” could be read too broadly. The population estimate is context for the municipality, not evidence that residents are searching for a particular legal service or that a campaign will produce cases.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how city and county labels would be represented in the dashboard and how you would review them alongside practice area, source and matter status. Decide which geographic fields belong in management reporting before relying on a trend. Keep Hyattsville city and Prince George’s County separate unless your firm expressly chooses a combined reporting view.
