1. Start with the actual Gaithersburg service area
The Census record identifies Gaithersburg city and its relationship to Montgomery County. That distinction matters when a firm chooses a footprint. A page for Gaithersburg is not automatically a page for every Montgomery County community, the Washington metropolitan area or all of Maryland. The firm should decide which places it genuinely serves and whether its legal services are available throughout those places. Bosseo’s public description says its engine can be scoped statewide or to selected counties, with a dedicated page for each service-and-city combination inside the chosen footprint.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how Gaithersburg would be represented within a Montgomery County or Maryland scope. Review whether the proposed footprint matches the firm’s intake capacity, licensed practice and client-service boundaries. Do not use Gaithersburg’s population as a proxy for demand or as a reason to select statewide coverage.
