1. Define the geography before reviewing the numbers
A Frederick firm may serve Frederick city, the wider Frederick County area, Maryland or another service territory. Those are not interchangeable scopes. The Census record identifies Frederick city as a municipality and records its county relationship as Frederick County. The population estimate is useful context for defining the place you mean, but it cannot validate a marketing opportunity or predict case volume. A dashboard review should therefore start with labels: city, county, state and any other territory your firm intentionally serves. Ask whether a city-level keyword, a county-level inquiry and a statewide matter are being interpreted as the same opportunity. They are not.
Recommended approach
Bring your preferred geographic definitions to the consultation. Ask Bosseo to show how location names, rankings, calls, leads and source pages would be separated or grouped. Do not approve a roll-up until you can explain what each geographic view includes and excludes.
