1. Establish the geography before you judge performance
A dashboard can only answer a location question if the location is defined first. Ferndale is a census-designated place in Anne Arundel County. A firm may also serve clients elsewhere in Maryland, but those areas should not be silently combined with Ferndale when a partner asks how local marketing is performing. The Census population estimate describes the place; it does not establish search demand, competition, calls, cases or revenue. For that reason, a useful review should distinguish Ferndale from Anne Arundel County and from any broader Maryland coverage the firm chooses to examine.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how location fields are represented in the dashboard and agree which geographic labels are decision-useful. Keep Ferndale-specific observations separate from countywide or statewide totals. If the firm serves several locations, document whether a call, form or matter can be associated with more than one service area before interpreting a geographic comparison.
