1. Set the geographic boundary before selecting stories
Essex is recorded as a CDP in Baltimore County, Maryland. Those labels describe different geographic scopes. A page about an Essex incident is not automatically a page for every Baltimore County resident, and a Maryland legal development is not automatically locally specific to Essex. Bosseo’s public Legal News page describes matching stories to a firm’s practice areas and state. It does not establish a custom Essex boundary, local news inventory, or a particular level of coverage for Baltimore County. Your firm should therefore decide which geographic relationships are useful before approving topics.
Recommended approach
Bring a written service-area map to the consultation. Separate Essex, Baltimore County, the Baltimore metropolitan area if relevant to your firm, and Maryland statewide coverage. Ask how each boundary would affect story selection, page wording, internal links, and reporting. Treat the Census population as eligibility context rather than as a forecast of demand.
