1. Define the Edgewater service area before spending
Edgewater is a CDP in Anne Arundel County, not a synonym for the whole county, the Baltimore metropolitan area, or Maryland. That distinction matters when a law firm decides whether its Local Service Ads profile should identify Edgewater alone, include nearby service areas, or remain narrower because of staffing and court coverage. The Census population estimate describes residents in the CDP; it does not show how many people search for a lawyer, how many have a matter within your practice, or how many firms compete for those inquiries. Bosseo’s public Local Service Ads description identifies category and geography targeting as program decisions. A useful evaluation therefore starts with the locations your firm actually serves and the matters it can accept.
Recommended approach
List the geographic areas your attorneys can serve, the courts or venues relevant to each practice, and any locations that should be excluded. Ask Bosseo to review how those choices would be represented in the Local Service Ads profile rather than expanding coverage merely because a larger area contains more households or individuals.
