Start with Cambridge’s actual geography
Your service area may include Cambridge, other parts of Dorchester County, Maryland, or locations beyond the city. Those are not interchangeable reporting categories. The Census record identifies Cambridge city as a municipality in Dorchester County and gives a 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate of 13,152, with a margin of error of 34. That figure describes residents in the municipality; it does not establish how many people seek counsel, which practice areas are active, or where clients will come from. A useful dashboard should let your team define geographic categories before interpreting a result.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how city, county, statewide and other service-area labels would be separated in reporting. Agree whether a location means the person’s location, the search target, the office’s service area or the page associated with an inquiry. Do not use the Cambridge population estimate as a forecast. Use it only to keep geographic language precise and to identify the locations your firm wants to evaluate.
