1. Start with the geographic definitions your firm will actually use
Bel Air South is a CDP in Harford County, Maryland. That relationship matters when you decide how to name service areas in a dashboard. A “Bel Air South” view should not silently become a county view, and a county view should not be presented as evidence about every household or individual in the CDP. Bosseo’s public ROI Dashboard text says it tracks service-and-city keyword targets, case-type data, city data, and source attribution. The practical evaluation question is whether your firm can distinguish the geographic label being measured from the broader area it serves. The Census population estimate can establish the place and its recorded county relationship; it cannot establish which legal services people need or whether a marketing channel produced a matter.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how geographic labels would be defined in your review, how a Bel Air South target would be distinguished from Harford County, and how Maryland-wide tracking would be separated. Approve the labels before treating a location report as a basis for budget or practice-area decisions.
