1. Set the geographic question before reading the numbers
Oakland is recorded as a town in Kennebec County. A dashboard can be useful only if the firm first decides whether it is measuring Oakland itself, Kennebec County, another service area, or a combination. The population estimate for Oakland is an eligibility and context fact, not evidence that a particular practice area has demand there. Bosseo’s public dashboard description refers to service-and-city targets, rankings, calls, leads and city data. That makes geographic definition an important acceptance question: which locations will appear in the report, and will the firm be able to tell Oakland activity from activity elsewhere?
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to write down the geographic scope for every tracked target and attribution view. Review whether Oakland and Kennebec County should be separate reporting dimensions for your firm. Do not approve a dashboard merely because it contains a local place name; approve it when the locations match the firm’s actual intake territory.
