1. Set the Ruston service boundary before writing questions
The Census record identifies Ruston city and its relationship to Lincoln Parish. It does not establish that every resident is a prospective client, that every Lincoln Parish inquiry belongs with your firm, or that your firm serves the entire parish. That distinction matters when a video intake asks where an issue occurred, where a person lives, or whether the firm can accept the matter. A broad location question can create avoidable review work if your actual service area is narrower. A narrow question can also reject a potentially suitable matter if your practice allows work beyond Ruston.
Recommended approach
Write the geographic rule first. Decide whether the intake should ask about Ruston, Lincoln Parish, another Louisiana location, or a combination that matches your practice. Include a clear path for matters outside the firm’s scope rather than treating the Census geography as a qualification rule. Review how location affects ownership, referral, conflict review and follow-up before the flow is used publicly.
