1. Define the geography before you judge performance
New Orleans city is a municipality in Louisiana, and the recorded county relationship is Orleans Parish. The 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate for the city is 371,853; that figure is eligibility context, not proof of legal demand, search volume, competition, leads, cases or revenue. Your dashboard should therefore distinguish a New Orleans city target from an Orleans Parish target and from any broader Louisiana or metropolitan target your firm chooses to evaluate. A city label should not silently stand in for every place your firm serves.
Recommended approach
During the review, list each geographic target in plain language and decide which one belongs on rankings, lead attribution and matter reporting. Ask how the dashboard would display a contact associated with New Orleans city, another part of Orleans Parish or a different Louisiana location. Keep the geography used for measurement aligned with the geography used in your service decisions.
