1. Start with the geographic record, not a demand assumption
Marrero’s geographic relationship is specific: it is recorded as a CDP in Jefferson Parish. The population estimate is useful context when defining the service area you want to review, but it cannot tell you how many people need counsel or which practice areas generate inquiries. A firm may serve Marrero, other parts of Jefferson Parish, or a wider Louisiana market. Those are different measurement scopes. Lead Attribution should therefore preserve the actual location associated with a visit or inquiry rather than treating every contact as a generic “local” lead.
Recommended approach
Decide which geographic fields matter to your firm before reviewing attribution: the location named by the prospective client, the service area represented by the landing page, and the location relevant to the matter. Ask whether Marrero inquiries should be compared with other Jefferson Parish inquiries or with the firm’s entire Louisiana intake. Do not use the population estimate as a forecast.
