1. Separate Lafayette city coverage from Lafayette Parish decisions
The U.S. Census Bureau records Lafayette as a municipality in Louisiana and identifies its county relationship as Lafayette Parish. That distinction matters when you review Local Service Ads settings. A profile intended for Lafayette city is not automatically the same decision as a profile intended for the parish or additional surrounding areas. Bosseo’s public Local Service Ads page says its program includes practice-area categories and service-area targeting. It does not establish which geographic configuration is appropriate for your firm.
Recommended approach
Before booking or launching anything, write down the locations your firm will actually accept. Review Lafayette city and Lafayette Parish separately, then identify any additional areas only if they match your capacity and licensing considerations. Ask for a geographic review that explains what each setting would include, exclude, and measure. Do not use Lafayette’s population estimate as a forecast of demand, competition, leads, or revenue.
