1. Set the geography before interpreting the numbers
A Carencro report should distinguish Carencro city from Lafayette Parish and from any broader Louisiana or metropolitan-area coverage. The Census record identifies Carencro as a municipality in Lafayette Parish and reports an estimated population of 11,619 for the 2020–2024 ACS 5-year period, with a margin of error of 28. That figure describes the city’s population estimate. It does not establish how many people search for a lawyer, how many matters exist, where callers live, or what a campaign will produce. Bosseo’s public ROI Dashboard text says city data can be used alongside case-type data to inform decisions. Before relying on that view, ask how a city is defined, how service areas are named, and whether a call or lead can be associated with Carencro without treating the population figure as a forecast.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to demonstrate the geographic labels your firm would use for Carencro, Lafayette Parish and any other service areas. Agree in writing which geography belongs in each report and which questions the dashboard cannot answer from population data alone.
