Start with the geography your firm actually serves
Paducah is recorded as a municipality in McCracken County. The 2020–2024 ACS five-year estimate records 26,845 residents, with a margin of error of 34. That is geographic context, not evidence of legal demand, competition, search volume, calls or revenue. A dashboard should therefore distinguish Paducah city from McCracken County and from any other service area your firm elects to track. It should not turn a population figure into a forecast. During review, identify the city, county or other geography attached to each target, page, call classification and business decision. That distinction matters when a partner asks which location produced a contact or whether a campaign is relevant to the firm’s actual service territory.
Recommended approach
Agree on geographic labels before reviewing performance. Treat Paducah city and McCracken County as separate definitions unless your firm deliberately combines them, and record the reason for any broader territory.
