1. Start with the firm’s actual geographic coverage
Monticello and Wayne County are related but not interchangeable geographic descriptions. A firm may serve clients in Monticello, elsewhere in Wayne County, or beyond it. The review program should use the firm’s actual service area and should not imply that every review came from Monticello or that a city profile represents the whole county. The Census record establishes Monticello’s municipal and county relationship, but it does not show where a firm’s clients live or which locations produce inquiries.
Recommended approach
Before adopting a review workflow, list the locations the firm intentionally serves and decide how those locations should appear in internal reporting and public responses. Keep geographic language accurate. Review whether a response should mention location at all, particularly when doing so could reveal sensitive information about a matter.
