1. Set the geographic boundary before discussing budget
Edgewood is a city in Kenton County, Kentucky. That relationship matters because a firm may describe its service area as Edgewood, Kenton County, or a wider area, but those labels are not interchangeable. The Census record identifies the municipality and county relationship; it does not establish how far a firm travels, which clients it accepts, or whether searches from nearby communities will produce suitable matters. Bosseo’s public LSA page describes category and geography targeting, including deliberate service-area settings. The useful question is therefore not whether Edgewood’s population is large enough. It is whether the firm can define the locations it wants, serve them consistently and distinguish an in-area inquiry from an inquiry outside its scope.
Recommended approach
Prepare a written service-area rule for the consultation. Separate Edgewood from the rest of Kenton County and from any broader Kentucky coverage. Decide which locations are acceptable for each practice area, which are excluded and how staff should handle an inquiry that falls outside the rule.
