1. Start with the Ashland service area, not a population assumption
Ashland is a municipality in Boyd County, Kentucky. That relationship matters when you decide which calls belong in a local intake review and how staff describe the firm’s service area. It does not establish how many prospective clients call, which practice areas they need, how many people speak a particular language, or whether the firm needs more staff. Intake Coach should therefore be evaluated against the firm’s real conversations and stated coverage, not against the city’s population estimate.
Recommended approach
Define the geographic questions your intake team is expected to answer: whether the caller is in Ashland, elsewhere in Boyd County, or outside the firm’s intended service area; whether the matter is within the firm’s practice scope; and who owns the next response. Review those decisions with counsel before using them as coaching criteria.
