1. Start with the geographic footprint, not a page target
Pratt city and Pratt County are different geographic scopes. The Census record identifies Pratt city as a municipality within Pratt County and gives the city a 2020–2024 ACS population estimate of 6,577. That is a useful boundary and eligibility fact, not proof that residents are searching for a particular lawyer or that a countywide page set will produce inquiries. For your firm, the practical question is where you accept matters and where a location-specific page would give a prospective client genuinely useful information. A Pratt page may be appropriate for services you offer in the city. A broader Pratt County footprint requires a separate decision about the communities and service areas you actually cover.
Recommended approach
Map your real service area first. Compare a Pratt-only footprint with a Pratt County footprint, and record which services apply in each. Do not expand into every nearby place merely because a page can be created. Ask whether each proposed page would explain your firm’s service, the relevant Kansas legal context, and the local client’s next step without implying an office or availability that does not exist.
